Nike NFTC Camp Top Football Event in NW Again In 2012

Here is a Question we get a lot!  What is the Nike NFTC Camp?

NIKE is the king of all football in terms of equipment and a terrific corporate partner for many High Schools in the Pacific Northwest.  They make gear available at an affordable price and give time and materials to our schools often.

Now there can be no doubt.  The Nike Football Training Camps are the premier events in the Country.  Traditionally these 4 hours camps have been held at many of the finest Colleges and Universities in the Nation.  But under strict New Guidelines here in the NCAA all camps are restricted to a non-university setting and it was time for this frankly.  This rule applies to all Non-School camps and clinics with the exception of the months of June, July, and August.

The Nike NFTC Camps are therefore being held at large regional facilities across the US.  Luckily for the kids of the Pacific Northwest the last one of these 12  Premier showcase camps will be held at the University of Oregon on June 10th.

These are non-padded camps and feature terrific skill training followed by showcase competitions.

Let their be no mistake.  The best of the best are at these events every year.  There is not a better football event an athlete can get to then the NFTC Camp!

SPARQ Combine Coming to Tigard as Premier NW Football Combine

The #1 Official Combines in the Nation are in fact the SPARQ Combines.  While you may ask yourself who is SPARQ and what is a combine the simple answers are right here at Football Northwest where we help you and your athletes find the best camps and clinics.

SPARQ:  SPARQ was started in 2004 to create a standardized test for athleticism called the SPARQ Rating and to sell training equipment and methods to help improve athleticism focused on the high school athlete (an “SAT” for athletes). ‘SPARQ’ is an acronym, standing for Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and Quickness.[2]

Now owned by NIKE the SPARQ products have been in use for a very long time and are the gold standard when it comes to Speed Agility and Quickness training gear.  There is a Network of SPARQ trainers and all the information of the drills and tests given at these SPARQ Combines right here:  SPARQ INFO

There are a few official SPARQ testing events and at these events you and your athletes can find out where they stand.  The SPARQ score has been around long enough now that most people know what it means.  It is a great measure of an athlete’s physical skill set.  Most top recruits score well on the SPARQ ratings and it helps those trying to make it see where they need to work the hardest.

On June 9th at Tigard High School there will be a FREE SPARQ Testing Event.
